Airport Security- Clear plastic bags.?

I'm about to go off on holiday, I fly to London first, and then on to Egypt, and I can't for the life of me remember the airport security rules. Do you have to put any liquids in a clear plastic bag if it's not your hand luggage? Or is it just your hand luggage? Anything else I should remember? Is there anything I shouldn't bring into Egypt?

Thanks!Airport Security- Clear plastic bags.?
in the uk WHICH IS WHERE THIS PERSON IS FROM NOT THE US

the rules are you are allowed to carry liquid's on you hand luggage as long as the are in container's no more the 100ml( it's the container size and not the content that is looked at).

the clear bag can not be any bigger than 20cm x 20cm.

any container you carry MUST be able to fit in the clear bag and the bag MUST be-able to close comfortably.

You are allowed 1clear bag per-person.

any container's over 100ml must be put in your hold bag regardless whether it has been opened or not (this includes anything bought before security).

if you have any proscription liquid's they MUST be in there own packaging with sticky label still on.

baby food is allowed but you will need to open it and try it when you pass thru security.

the last 2 are restricted to the fact you are only allowed to carry enough for your flight.

EDIT: liquid's include: cream's, gel's, pastes, oil's and airosle'sAirport Security- Clear plastic bags.?
