Will a resealable grip top 20x20cm sandwich bag be ok or do I have to purchase special bags for this purpose? If so, does anyone know where I can buy them? ThanxHand Luggage: can I use clear food bags to take my liquids in on board an aircraft?
Those bags will work, but make sure you take your own with you. Not all airports provide them for free, at least in the US. I know in Oakland, CA you have to buy one or bring your own, they don't give them to you. I've heard that this is the same at many other airports. Plus if you bring your own you can already have it loaded, you don't have to dig through your stuff at the airport then fill the bag. Don't forget each container in the bag must be 100ml or smaller or 3oz or smaller in the US.Hand Luggage: can I use clear food bags to take my liquids in on board an aircraft?
Yes that will be fine. I use these whenever I go away and have travelled several times since the restrictions came in. Make sure any liquids are not over 150ml or even in bottles bigger than this. I have it out and ready before I even go through security and have never had any problems. I get really annoyed by all those people who clog up security cos they haven't bothered!
You could use your own bags but why bother. When you get to the airport they give them to you, free of charge.
No the sandwich bag will be fine to put your liquids in.
Why would you need to ? I suppose you know that once you have passed through security you can buy all types of liquid in the departure lounge in all sorts of containers.
That would be fine. Nothing more than 100ml and all must fit in one bag - they will give you one at the airport
That would be fine as it meets the reqired measurements.
Make sure none of your liquids are no more than 100ml in size too.
they give you free bags at the airport but i just put mine in a see through vanity case and they said nothing (dublin/barajas)
It's mean't to be a resealable clear bag, but i used a sandwich bag last weekend and got awat with it!
