also was going to take my c.d player for the hotel room, can you take this had hand luggage ??In the U.K do you still have to put yor hand luggage in clear bags??
Most hand luggage is fine but liquids have to be put in clear bags. You may be asked to prove the CD player works and is actually a CD player. That happened to me with my laptop earlier this year. Make sure you know size limitations before you try a take your CD player though.

No you don't and yes you can.
Only liquids.
You only have to put anything that is liquid based in a clear bag, and yes you can take your cd player
You only have to put liquid based items such as makeup/hand cream/water into clear bags.
Look on the airports website, there are clear guidelines and list of what your allowed and not allowed. Hand luggage has to be a certain size and so do the clear bags. There is also a limit to the size of liquids your allowed. I travelled 4 weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised that everything was still so strict.

Only liquids, gels, pastes etc have to go in the clear plastic bag. Yes you can carry your CD player too but have it ready to be seperately scanned at security.

Anything liquid must be less than 100ml and must be in a clear plastic bag. Not sure about the stereo I never bother as its too much hassle.
I heard you only have to put things in clear bags if it is liquid ie mascara.
we left from gatwick 2 weeks ago they were very strict we had too putt all liquid in clear 100mls bottles then in a clear bag, they provided it. we had to ditch all our drinks (sealed or not) that we had for our kids. CD player will be ok.





when we arrived in turkey we made friends with people that left from manchester %26amp; they said they had no such restriction %26amp; that one of them had a small can of lighter fuel in their hand baggage (they forgot to ditch it) %26amp; it was not detected by security. at all
