Clear bag for liquids on a plane?

I know i have to take all my liquids (all have to be smaller then 3 oz) in a clear plastic bag when I take them on the plane. But does it have to be the specific size they say or can it be SMALLER? I do not have the exact bag they want but only a smaller one.. is that ok too?

Use a quart-sized (aka sandwich sized) baggie. If you don't have one, just put all of your liquid items in a separate container (like a makeup bag) until you get to the airport security checkpoint - they'll have the right size bags there. You can just dump your liquids from the makeup bag to the plastic bag, and voila.Clear bag for liquids on a plane?
Any bag quart-sized or smaller is okay.
