Because of the lotion rule of 3ml limit, lotions are not expected to be kept in the carryon bag when boarding unless they are kept in a sealed clear poly bag. But where to get it?Where to get the clear poly bag for cosmetics to pass through security?
You must you a QUART size zip-top bag.


I bought ';Hefty OneZip Travel Bags'; from the one dollar section of Walmart. It contained 7 bags. %26amp; On the container itself it says ';Meets Airport Security Guidelines';


Get everything together ahead of time into that bag. Also double check that your items in the bag are actually 3 oz or less.

You can use a regular Ziploc bag. Be sure to check with the TSA (www.tsa.gov) to be sure you use the right size bag. I think you can only use the 1 liter size -- anything bigger than that is a no.





Some airports hand these see-through plastic bags at security but not all of them. And do you really want to be digging through your bags to be sure you've got all the liquids to put in a bag at security.





Note: Each traveler is allowed 1 bag. You can easily keep it in your purse or inside a carry-on until you get to security and then take it out and hand it to them separately. I've flown several times since this rule has been in place and it is really not such a big deal if you are organized ahead of time.
